We found this place in a google search & soooo glad we did. They are open Fri-Sun only (wad told there is a coffee shop next door that is open in Thursdays as well) The people who works here are all survivors of recivery!!!! The suggested amount to pay is $15 /plate & anything beyond this is put together & shared between all. Our server, Amanda, was AMAZING!!! She suggested my husband's breakfast & she was absolutely correct in her choice. You definitely get enough food & the taste....WOW!!!Probably one of the BEST tasting food places we have had since moving to San Antonio last year. Great cause. Great food. Great PEOPLE!!! we will be back for sure. We did talk to other patrons & was told on Sundays, plan on waiting. FYI
I love the food here. Especially the stuffed crepes. The servers are all fantastic but the restaurant is usually slammed Saturday, so it can be a little chaotic. I appreciate that they allow a little flexibility like when I ask for just one stuffed crepe. Atmosphere is also pretty great, but it can be hard to hear your friends over everyone else. I brought my friend and even though we waited almost an hour to be seated, when she got the food, she said it was totally worth it.
We had a great time here! The restaurant’s mission is really wonderful and inspiring. The atmosphere was very welcoming and every member of the staff was friendly and helpful. Every part of the meal was delicious and the presentation was very nice! The chicken was especially juicy, crispy, and well seasoned. The pancakes were very fluffy and perfectly sweet. Definitely a must stop to everyone visiting San Antonio!
This will go down as one of my favorite dining experiences in my life to date. From the moment we were greeted by a kind gentleman at the door, everything was amazing! The mission to support those in recovery is admirable and we were happy to help. Maya took care of us like we were family and I'll be thinking of her long into the future. The food - seemed like you can't make a bad choice on the menu. I tried the seasonal omelette with a yogurt parfait on the side. Absolutely incredible! Get the hash brown casserole for your potato choice. My husband enjoyed the Long Star breakfast with blueberry pancakes. All was fresh and flavorful! We left full, happy and feeling loved. Support this impactful restaurant and it's organization!
Came to support and will be coming back because the food was really good, great service as well! Cash only but an atm is available, looked busy for a Saturday but I was sitted quickly since I ate alone. My eggs were cooked perfectly, good quality sausage and bacon, fluffy and flavorful brownsugar pecan pancakes, the potatoes were soft and seasoned well.
We came in for the first time & Richard our waiter was Amazing. The food was Excellent. We wish they had more across town. It’s kinda a drive if you don’t live on that side of town. (But worth the drive every few months) The peach tea (oh my goodness) So good.. The atmosphere was so relaxed. The portion size was just right! ( a lot) The resturant is for such a good cause. I will try & upload pics. We really enjoyed everything about the place.
The food was absolutely delicious! I can't wait to come back soon with my friends and family! The story behind this place is so heartwarming! Everything was great!! A little noisy, but nothing too bad! It was full of life and fun
We drove in from Houston to visit this cute non-profit restaurant for Thanksgiving with my sons and it was delicious (soup, deviled eggs, main turkey + sides, and the pies: pecan, apple, bread pudding chocolate were so good we forgot to take photos lol). The entire vibe was warm with friendly folks, loved the decorations, and our server Sarah was great! My oldest son loved all of his food!
